At Veho, my role is to develop technology that supports a flexible operational reality. I oversee four key product areas: the independent driver partner marketplace, core route-building, ground operations, and network transportation technology.
Our goal is to build superior technology and systems, designed to help us scale and provide the best value and experience for brands and their customers. We’re building delivery technology that adjusts to the needs of our clients and produces with consistency–even in dynamic conditions.
Core Route-Building: Smarter, More Flexible Routes
Veho’s platform does not rely on static routing plans. Our core route-building system is dynamic, meaning it constantly adjusts based on real-time data. This is important for many reasons, especially during peak season, when clients push for late package injections and demand faster delivery times. Most traditional carriers have a hard cut-off time for package injection—usually in the early afternoon.
Ground Operations: Building for Flexibility
Ground operations are the backbone of Veho's success. We’ve designed them to handle whatever arises, from unexpected order surges to last-minute changes. Whether it’s a peak season rush or bad weather, our operations are built to stay efficient.
We focus on flexibility by combining smart tech with strategic planning. Here’s how we do it:
- Real-time adjustments enable quick changes in volume or facilitating delivery needs.
- Veho can ramp up smoothly during peak season without slowing down.
- Quick flex points allow fast adjustments to keep things moving.
- Our tech forecasts potential issues and prevents delays.
This approach helps us maintain quality service even when demand is at its highest, ensuring we deliver on our promises no matter the challenge.
Network Tech: Real-Time Adjustments, No Surprises
Our network tech is the engine that keeps everything running smoothly. One of the major challenges in logistics is dealing with the unexpected—whether it’s a weather disruption or a last-minute change in volume. But at Veho, we don’t let those challenges slow us down. Our machine learning models and data-driven systems adjust routes, service dates, driver partner offerings, and delivery windows in near real-time.
What does this mean in practice? If a snowstorm hits or there’s a sudden spike in orders, our technology flexes to keep deliveries on time. The platform learns and gets better with each adjustment. This allows us to run a more efficient, cost-effective operation that delivers for our clients while providing an industry-leading experience.
Driver Partner Marketplace: Providing Flexibility and Clarity
At Veho, we’ve designed our platform to offer independent driver partners a transparent, flexible marketplace. Professional and qualified crowdsourced drivers select the delivery routes that best fit their schedule based on the general delivery zone, the length of the route, and the date and time the route needs to be picked up. Driver partners on the Veho platform know the general delivery zone when they select an offer, and as the route start time approaches, they receive more precise information–all the way down to the town and neighborhood.
Our focus is on giving driver partners the clarity and control they need to plan their day and perform delivery services while ensuring that routes remain efficient and adaptable to meet the demands of clients and customers. This approach helps balance operational goals with a positive experience for our independent driver partners, ensuring smooth, reliable delivery experiences.
Why Veho is Leading the Charge
What makes Veho different isn’t just that we have better technology (though we do). It’s how all the parts work together—driver partner marketplace, route-building, ground operations, and network technology—seamlessly.
We’ve built a platform designed to be flexible, scalable, and efficient. And at the heart of it is our commitment to putting customers first, optimizing technology to react in real-time, and giving brands the reliability they need to serve their customers.
